Reviews and Ratings
The hotel gives off a Chernobyl-like vibe rather than the picturesque villa in the photos. The reception lady dismissed my concerns about the dusty rooms and shower issues, implying the fault was mine. However, the room was spacious with a full-sized double bed at a discounted rate.
The hotel is set in the lovely grounds of Lydiard Park, offering beautiful surroundings worth exploring. While the strange smell was a downside, the pool was a hit for both adults and teenagers. The rooms, although small and outdated, featured convenient tea/coffee facilities and mugs, yet struggled to stay cool on hot days. The dining experience fell short due to safety concerns and discrepancies from the images presented. Overall, a mixed experience with potential for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and conveniently located within Lydiard House, yet they were uncomfortably hot. The service, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations with attentive and helpful staff, but the initial impression was marred by some issues. The location was beautiful, surrounded by horses, and ideal for both business and leisure, although lacking essential amenities like hairdryers and irons. The dining experience was mostly enjoyable, except for a disappointing scrambled egg, and the facilities were decent, offering a reasonable value for money.
